As we come towards the end of another year of activity for the BOC, it is time to consider appointments to the BOC Committee. You will have received a nomination form recently with the information about the Norfolk weekend and AGM.  Anyone can volunteer for appointment to the committee but, understandably, it is likely that you will not put yourself forward if you feel that you are ousting someone from their position.  I can confirm that I will be standing down as Secretary because of current work commitments and that I feel it is time for someone else to take over. 

Don Walker, who has been Press & Publicity Officer and Vic Hodson, Eastern Region Co-ordinator have also both decided that it is time to hand over to someone else.  Richard Clementson, Treasurer has said that he will only be carrying on for one more year.  Louise Busby is also keen to relinquish her role as National Events Co-ordinator.

If you are interested in putting yourself forward for any of these positions on the Committee, or any others, please do not hesitate to speak to me, Frank Hawkins (Chair), or any of the Committee members.  They will be able to tell you what is involved.   If you do not wish to be on the Committee but feel you can help in any way, please don’t be shy about coming forward.  If anyone would like to nominate someone else for a role would you please get that person's permission to do so before sending it in.

I would like to thank everyone on the Committee for their support.  I have enjoyed my role as Secretary and I hope that the Club will continue to flourish and develop.  I will, of course, still be involved in helping Kelston organise events in the South East region.
