There's been a suggestion that if we move this event back a week to the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, we could combine it with a Limehouse rendezvous for those wishing to visit by boat for the weekend. This could provide some accommodation for those wishing to attend the training event, and for those who didn't want to attend the training, but wanted to join in with the rendezvous we could have dinner together on the Saturday evening. Of course we could also do this on the original date, but the long weekend might make it easier for more people to attend, as long as they did not already have other commitments for that date. The other complicating factor is that the 26th April (edited-LB) is the date of the London marathon which can have implications for those wishing to arrive in the city by car. Can I have your comments on whether this would make a good programme for the weekend? Friday 1 May Optional arrival at Limehouse by boat Saturday 2 May Optional Sea Survival training course at Greenwich (travel by DLR) Saturday evening BOC dinner at CA House Sunday 3 May (Committee meeting at CA House for BOC committee members) Sunday 3 /Monday 4 May Return cruise to home moorings Committee members - please note: this would be an alternative to the proposed 26th April meeting)
