In order to ring the changes a little I thought it might be nice to look for a different venue for our 2010 Owner's weekend, and am considering alternative hotels close to Brundall or Great Yarmouth. From comments received so far it seems that most people are happy with the format remaining roughly the same, combining a Saturday tour of the Broom factory with some evening entertainment and the AGM on the Sunday morning. Having had a couple of years on trip boats on the Broads there seems to be a preference to return to the popular members' boat cruises for the Saturday afternoon so, volunteers permitting, this will be the plan. I will also try to offer an additional activity for those wishing to arrive on Friday, and for those for whom the factory tour does not appeal. There continues to be some limited interest for a Sea Safety event, and there is the possibility that this could be organised at the Waveney River Centre, a riverside lodge park near Lowestoft, also accessible by boat with moorings available. It could be possible to organise a weekend event in March, with the option of lodge or boat accommodation for those who are interested. I would be grateful if you could post your comments on these suggestions with an indication of whether or not either of these events would be of interest.
