I have been boating for nearly 30 years, all on the east coast, starting with a 16ft trailable cabin cruiser and moving up the size scale as family and finance permitted to Kymata - a Broom 36 of 1993 vintage which my wife Maureen and I acquired in April 2003. I had always moored on salt water at Essex and Suffolk marinas, but in October 2005 we decided to bring Kymata to the Broads on a one month licence for a weeks late holiday to coincide with the BOC AGM. We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to stay and have a permanent mooring at Brooms. We have got to know the southern Broads well in 2006, as we have been on board almost every weekend since we arrived including Christmas and New Year and through January and February. Visit our Events page to find out what's been happening and what's coming up - and don't forget to have your say by posting a comment.
