Welcome to the Irish Regional Page

As you can see from the map of the island of Ireland we currently have members in all the main boating areas on the Shannon and Erne although we would welcome members who are based on the coast.

We are trying to build on this base and are firmly of the view that the more members there are in a region then the greater the influence and the interests that are reflected in the club. I know there are a large number of Broom boats over here in Ireland; partly because of the strong links in the past between Emerald Star Lines and the Broom factory; and also because they are ideal boats for the sort of cruising available on the Irish waterways and coast.

Members MapI see the club as an opportunity to exchange ideas between owners with similar boats and an opportunity to benefit from the experiences of others in the event of any problems.

Although we do provide an opportunity for people with similar boats to cruise in company it is not intended as a replacement for boating organisations based in a particular area. That doesn’t mean we don’t have an annual get together which coincides with the Boat Show and is held in the Dublin area. At these meetings we have been able to persuade one of the Broom staff to join us in an informal opportunity to discuss various issues with him.

Please see the events page for details of events that are coming up.
