Welcome to the Broom Owners Club South Coast and South West Region. I’m pleased to introduce myself as your coordinator. I joined the club in 2001 with my wife Diane. You will be able to recognise me easily since I am often told I have my head in the clouds being 6.5" tall and with a mop of white hair on the top!

Diane and I have been the the owners of our Broom Ocean 38 “Tabgha” since 2001. For two years until June 2009 we were moored at Ouistreham in France as a base. We’ve experienced many enjoyable cruises in company with Broomers and others on the Thames, East coast, South coast, Netherlands, Belgium, France from Dunkirk to Roscoff and also up the Seine to Paris, and the Channel Islands. In 2010 we are hoping to go to the Netherlands again in June if we can find some Broomers interested in coming with us.

I hope the usual get togethers in and around the Solent and possibly further West will take place during the season. I will welcome any offers of help from other Broomers to organise part or all of an event so do please feel free to contact me with your thoughts. We'd all be pleased to welcome new members at any gathering or event and if you are nervous or have a concern about coming to anything please do call me and we can try and resolve any issue.

Tabgha is are now based in Birdham Pool Chichester and will welcome seeing any Broomers visiting either Birdham Pool or Chichester Marina. We are also membrs of Chichester Yacht club and will be happy to enjoy a glass there with you as well.

Yours Broomily,

Frank (and Diane)
